OE Global is collecting stories from its members their worldwide efforts to support learners through the COVID-19 global pandemic.
What we seek is something short and inspiring that shows how OE Global members are helping learners in this time, along with an image to represent it, and perhaps a link to find more information.
The meaning of “ordinary” is redefined as now everything we do is beyond ordinary. And that, beyond the simplification of the word “pivot”, describes what open educators have been doing. Small, personal stories are of equal interest as large scale ones.
The site is organized as well by OE Global nodes within the overall pool of stories. We have categories for the Community College Consortium of OER (CCCOER) as well as OE LATAM.
As examples explore a few randomly selected stories currently in the collection.
- Library Expands Support for Students & Faculty
- H5P/Virtual Simulations for Nursing Education
- Remote Learning with PhET Simulations (New Features Available)
- Schools and universities are closed – how do you cope? UNESCO #LearningNeverStops
- Nursing Program Donates Essential Equipment to Local Hospital
We are confident that you know of one worth sharing.
This site is powered by a “SPLOT” meaning no logins or personal identifying information is required. But more than that, it is open to anyone that has a story to share. This was originally developed as a general open site for “Extraordinary Stories” that we have migrated here to be a special version for OE Global members.
